How much should I charge to paint int 1700 meters square. the house and put in a new sink and new counter top?

Please help me and my wife just started a new business. Handyman / painting. we made an appointment for a job, but the lady says they are too low. Can someone please tell me what would be the going rate in Los Angele's ca. to paint a house 1,700 square feet and put in a kitchen sink and a counter ganent. we said we would for $ 1,700 and told me it was too low please help us it would be a good price. We're new at this and we are not in throats slit. people who do this kind of work. but we also want to get some customers. thanks
