How do I find out if there is a lein against my TX home (Dallas Co) without spending any money to research it?

We had a bankruptcy in 2001 and currently owe approximately 15 hospitals, physicians and other medical related businesses. We are trying to pay them off as we can and want to know if anyone has put a lein on our home. We cannot afford a attorney and aren’t ready to sell our home. There is not enough equity to matter and the payments are equal to or lower than renting.

That should be a matter of public record. It should have been recorded. Start with the Recorder’s office in your county.
