When you use article marketing to drive traffic to your website, you are using a technique that takes advantage of two methods for a very different audience: drive traffic to your site from people who read the article and click the link with either format, and search engine traffic of people in search of the keywords you choose and come to your site through a search engine reference. How to create your network of articles, you'll find that direct traffic have a significant impact in the early days. However, more search engine referrals that surpass time traffic and become by far the largest share of traffic to your website.

Direct traffic from the submission of the article has a different pattern to examine traffic logs. You'll see little spikes in the overall website visits a day to a week after their submission to these sites. It is not a simple strategy to get direct traffic as possible: to send many, many articles to the highest traffic directories.

Directory of high traffic, not only regular visitors in search of new information on a variety of topics, but also best place on Google. Part of Google's overall strategy includes an emphasis placed on each domain. Wikipedia.com, for example, has a very high rating, and any attachments to that domain – wikipedia.com / trains, for example — almost certainly appear on the first page of search results. At the other extreme is the average site: ilovecats.com or learn2knit.com. These sites have little influence Google, and items attached to them have been much worse rankings.

You can determine what the Google ranking of any site article submission is by downloading a Google toolbar for your browser. A simple bar graph shows the relative position of that site when you go to visit him. Sites more classifieds also usually have the most direct traffic, and these are the ones who want to focus on when you submit your first article.

Over time, you'll see a difference in your website traffic hit. The general trend should be upward, and you'll see little spikes with each presentation of the new article but not as marked as they were before. This means that you are ready to go to the next step article marketing: present at the secondary level of directories item.

There are literally thousands of article directories out there. Until now, you should have focused on only the largest and most important. But now the need to diversify, start sending articles to many different article directories. You do not have to write full articles original of each presentation, but will contribute significantly if you do. Just re-write the articles as presented to each new directory will be enough to get the most out of them.

What's happening now: you have a lot of articles all over the Internet, every point of back to your site with good links to format using the keyword as anchor text. This will position your site in Google's rise dramatically, with what an increasing proportion of traffic to your website from Google. This will make the traffic graph to flatten further.

These two strategies, applied over time, you will get the most out of your article marketing efforts. Remember to drive traffic to your website slowly. A slow pace is more effective over time.
